Colour Blocking

Colour Blocking was Inspired by the early 90s trend for mixing contrasting blocks of colour together, this is a dynamic, high impact and modern way to inject vivid colours into your wardrobe.

Colour blocking is a great way to experiment with mixing & matching energetic bright colours that normally wouldn't be seen together for example red & pink or fuchsia & tangerine.

You can work this look by combining ‘clashing separates’ or using accessories such as a bright yellow top with a royal blue pencil skirt, or you can go for a ready-made look such as the items on this page.

If in doubt on how to work your colours, use the Fashionista’s continuing favourite method, which is to use black and then you can add saturated jolts of colour. This is the simplest way to colour block.

We have matched up some Fashion Jewellery Ideas with the Colour Blocking outfits that we think works really well.
